In Politics & International Relations we study the way states interact with one another and the reasons for these interactions. Together we explore the history of conflict, global issues, and how they are resolved - and sometimes why they are not.
We examine the development and impact of major organizations such as the United Nations and the European Union, and the difficulties faced at the international level. You will understand challenges our world faces - terrorism, pandemics, poverty - while analyzing possible solutions.
Topics include: theories of International Relations, globalization, intergovernmental and nongovernmental organizations, the Cold War and nuclear proliferation, the Arab Spring, international security, and a detailed study of current events across regions. We use discussions, projects and case studies for an in-depth examination.
